About Bluebelly
Posted By: Bluebelly  |  Comments (2)

Bluebelly (with eyes wide open) is a new website that aims to work collaboratively to develop information to reduce the harms associated with the use of amphetamine-type substances (ATS) including MDMA (ecstasy) and cocaine.

Bluebelly does not advocate drug use in any way. The best form of drug harm reduction has been and will always be not to use drugs at all.

Aiming to reduce harm does not imply that drug use can be safe. Any drug use has inherent risks. Bluebelly recognises that some people will continue to use drugs. We aim to provide the best advice for those people to reduce their risk and potential for harm.

This project, including the accompanying DVD, was developed by staff at Moreland Hall Alcohol and Drug Service Melbourne, Australia.

Our Vision

  • A lot of people know some information. Nobody knows all the information. Working together, we can create the best information available.
  • To represent the most accurate, relevant and useful harm reduction information about ATS use.
  • To encourage user and member contributions to the site.

Who We Are

Well, Bluebelly is... you, and me... and anybody else who is part of the diverse community of interested individuals seeking to gather and deliver high quality harm-reduction information about amphetamine-type substances.

The development and reference team for this project has included:

  • Staff from Moreland Hall education and training team
  • Moderators from an online drug-based forum
  • Drug researchers
  • User group representatives
  • Event organisers
  • Harm reduction advocates
  • Outreach workers
Our ongoing development team is you.

Hi tweeker. The DVD is still in production. Most of the filming has been done and is currently being edited, but there are some additional scenes that need to be filmed so at this stage we anticipate it's release in Feb 2010.
